Are you planning a tourist trip to the other side of the planet? You will need to organize yourself in advance and arrange for a visa to Australia soon!
The requirement for this document often ends up frightening and some even give up or change their destiny so as not to have to deal with this “bureaucracy”. But believe me: it’s simpler than you think and we’ll help you with this!
In this text, you will find a step-by-step step with all the necessary procedures to ensure your documentation.
Tip: In Australia, travel insurance is mandatory for students who will stay in the country for more than a month. But, even if you stay for a shorter period, we recommend hiring you.
Visa to Australia: how to do it?
Before we go ahead, a reinforcement: the process to obtain a tourist visa for Australia is much simpler than for the United States, for example.
The entire procedure is done online and the requested documents can be attached directly from your computer, without the need to send/show originals or certified copies.
This is great as you can do everything from wherever you are and still pay the fee through your bank’s website. There are several types of tourist visas, but the one suitable for Brazilian tourists is the Visitor Visa (subclass 600). With it in hand, you can stay in Australia for up to 12 weeks.
The student visa, which will not be the focus here, can be requested by those who wish to study for more than 14 weeks in the country, to take an English course or participate in an exchange program, technical courses, undergraduate, graduate or master’s degree.
Attention: the only way to step into Australia without needing this document is to have an Australian or New Zealand passport. For all other nationalities on the planet, the country of kangaroos requires the issuance of a tourist visa before boarding.
Online form:
The entire process for applying for the document must be done through the official website of the Department of Immigration Australia. The site is entirely in English, but there is the possibility of translating it, to make filling out easier, if you do not master the language.
Tip: To start applying for a visa, you must have your passport in hand. If you don’t have it, it’s important to provide it.
You will have to create an account with an email and password and you will be able to start filling out the questionnaire, which is the first part of the process. There are many questions, but most of them in a yes/no style, with options to be selected.
